History
India, a country with natural and cultural richness has a timeless heritage. Though moving
with the world today, India still holds that mystic charm that lives in every art, craft and
religious and social values.

Hinduism, one of the most complex yet rich religion to follow and a faith existing since time
immemorial, lives still but with a changed face. It can be understood not only by studying its
evolution but also its everyday practice.

The recorded textual history of the Hindus can be said to begin with the Vedas. The term
'Vedas' does not denote any single book; it denotes an entire literature. The composition of the
various texts, which constitute the Vedas, was spread over many centuries and over different
localities, and is ascribed to many generations of poets and seers.

The Vedas, the origin of Hinduism, constitute the Hindu revelation and it is traditionally claimed
that no human force was ever responsible for their creation. The Hindus believe that the Vedas
have existed from the time of creation and will exist till eternity. The various seers, it is
believed, merely saw or discovered them with their special intuitive insight.

From generation to generation the Vedas have been transmitted through the oral tradition. That
is why the traditional term for Vedas is shruti, which means recited and heard, not written and
read. According to the concept of Hinduism derived from this literature, Dharma as a concept
unites all of Hinduism and links its different parts into a single totality. Derived from the
Sanskrit root 'dhr' (to bear, to support, to maintain) the word Dharma literally means that
which is established by law, duty or custom.

The Hindu scriptures themselves are a Divine Power not just words. The actual scriptures
were revealed by Brahma (who is the Divine Personality of God as Creator) to the Saints who
were the first Souls on Earth. These Divine scriptures were revealed in the Divine Language of
Sanskrit which is no longer spoken today but still exists in the Divine names and scriptures of
Hinduism. Sanskrit was not a material language developed by man or a combination of cultures
like our languages of today, but it was a Divine language give to us by God Himself, so
therefore the scriptures themselves are revealed in a Divine Language and carry that Divine
Vibration.

So in the beginning of this particular Time period known as one Brahmand. God (Brahma)
created the entire Cosmic Universe, which contains all the planets, stars and galatic clusters as
well as all the Celestrial Abodes and the Lower Abodes or Hells. He created the manifestation
of Time and motion, as well as Celestrial God's, and Demons to rule the Lower Abodes. So we
see that God Himself is the creator of all that exhists weather it is on a Material Cosmic Level
or a Spiritual Level. Now to understand the omnipresence of all creation we come to a deep
cosmic understanding of our placement in the Universe. This is not the only Earth Planet in our
Universe. There are many numerous Earth planets in the infinate number of Galaxies. Where
each soul has a chance of being born, this is another perfect description of the various
personalities we see here in the world.

To our feeble minds we assume that the earth is only 50 billion years old, as the Big Bang
Theory, has tried to convince us of some scientific evolution of the Universe. However, our
Eternal Scriptures, that are revealed by God has shown us is that our Universe is much older
than we think and that our Material Earth as we think of it, is actually an Eternal creation.

Our scriptures teach that eveything within the Universe is working in a systematic and Perfect
order. When the cosmos is created, souls are produced which are also eternal and unlimited in
number. God creates (expands himself) an unlimited ammount of Chief Celestrial Gods called
Brahma's. Unlimited 'spacial pockets' are created in the universe which are each occupied by
one Brahma (expansion of Godhead) who then creates an earth planet and the celestrial world
of God's and Goddesses to watch over and control the forces of creation such as Prosperity,
Wisdom, Water, Air etc. Before the creation of the earth planet, the cycles of time are also
formed to induce the progression of events and to maintain the total history of the earth planet
for trillions of years.

Brahma lives for 100 years x 360 days and nights and each day is 4,320 million earth years.
His present age is 155.521972 trillion years and He lives 311.04 trillion years. His present age is
the 1st day of the 51st year. At the end of Brahma's life the Universe and all within it are
destroyed and re-created all over again. So you can see that the existance of Universe, God
and Souls are eternal and never-ending.

The Brahmanas provide information on Hinduism as a practice or as a religion between the
period of the Rig Veda and the Upnishads, the mystical and metaphysical dimension of
Hinduism. The Brahmanas are lengthy prose text, which describe the major Vedic sacrifices.
The philosophy given to Hinduism through these texts is that sacrifice is the fundamental to the
universal process. The famous hymn of Brahmana celebrates the creation of the world by
gods through dismembering of the cosmic giant, Purusa who in a typical Vedic paradox is
both the performer and the victim of the sacrifice. This sacrifice is believed to have created the
whole universe.

The Upnishads develop the mystical and metaphysical dimension of Hinduism. The Upnishads,
literally meaning 'sitting near' describes Hinduism as profound consciousness of the indivisible
wholeness of life.

Inspired by the vision of God in all things and all things in God. According to that the belief of
Hinduism lies in a cosmic spirit-infinite, creative, benevolent and deathless. It is the final
transcendent truth -the real power behind all tangible forces. A vast ageless ocean of which
everything that is experienced is a wave.
Facing acceptance as well as challenges, Hinduism with time has a subtly changed face but
still matches closely to it's original descriptions and continues to charm and amaze the human
race with its vastness and ambiguity.
